Considered a darker, more complex version of a Hefeweizen, Dunkelweizens benefit from the addition of high temperature kilned malt. With a bready and slightly roasted character, the specialty German malts are the perfect accent for the distinctive banana and clove flavor from the Bavarian weizen yeast.
