Inspired by the highly hopped beers from the west coast, our double IPA is truly a hophead’s delight. Five varieties of American hops added throughout the boil create a wide range of flavors including pine and citrus, while generous dryhopping in the fermentor provides the distinct aroma of fresh hops. We guarantee that this is one of the freshest double IPA’s available, giving you a great reason to drink local.

CURRENT SEASONALS - Updated 6/7/13 PBG GRODZISKIE Polish Wheat Ale
This is Manayunk Brewery's and 2012 Philly Beer Geek Champion Steve Mashington's interpretation of a classic Polish wheat beer. This low-gravity, light-colored ale is brewed using classic German malts and has a slight tartness and a dry finish. 3.8% ABV, 24 IBUs
MONK FROM THE ‘YUNK Belgian Style Tripel
This strong, golden colored ale is brewed with pilsner malt and noble hops, but it is the traditional Belgian strain of yeast that provides the complex aromas of fruit and spice. With a dry finish and relatively light body, you will find our Belgian Tripel very drinkable for a beer this potent. 9.0% ABV, 30 IBUs
HARPOON IPA India Pale Ale
Since its introduction, Harpoon IPA has remained unique in its ability to balance hop bitterness with a strong malt backbone. Dry-hopped with Cascade hops, it has a floral hop aroma and a finish that is bitter (it is an IPA after all!) without being harsh or astringent. Combined with a malty sweetness and the fruity esters of our proprietary yeast, those hops create a beer that is wonderfully hoppy but clean and refreshing enough to enjoy a few of - and we hope you do. 5.9% ABV, 42 IBUs
BELGIAN BLONDE Belgian Style Ale
Inspired by beers brewed in Trappist Monastaries, Belgian Blonde is a low-gravity, light-bodied Belgian style pale ale with a mild bouquet of lemon zest and black pepper. Our Belgian yeast strain and a touch of wheat malt contribute both flavors and aromas of banana and clove. An abundant amount of carbonation makes this beer go down smooth and easy. 5% ABV, 21 IBUs
PHILADELPHIA PORTER Robust Style
Originally enjoyed by the working class of England, porters inevitably became a staple in American brew pubs. Our interpretation is brewed with Caramel malt for a rich, toffee-like sweetness and a touch of English Kent Goldings hops. However, it’s the robust flavor of the black and chocolate malt that takes center stage in this dark, full-bodied ale. 6.0% ABV, 30 IBUs
IRON CURTAIN Imperial Style Stout
With a full body and robust flavor, it’s no wonder why Catherine the Great requested this high octane style of stout for her Imperial court. Despite the name, Russian Imperial Stout was originally an English style, brewed with a high alcohol content and an increased amount of hops to preserve the beer on it’s long voyage to Russia. Although ours won’t make the same journey, we followed the same philosophy. At nearly double digit alcohol and plenty of hops for an assertive bitterness, the real focus is the roasted malts providing the rich flavors of coffee and chocolate. 9.3% ABV, 65 IBUs
SARANAC BLUEBERRY Blonde Ale
Saranac Blueberry Blonde Ale is a traidtional blonde ale with a kick of juicy blueberry. You'll notice a light golden haze from wheat malt and oats and a low hop bitterness, which really shows off the fruit.
5.0% ABV, 18 IBUs
BOHEMIAN BLONDE Blonde Ale
This golden ale is the lightest beer we offer. It has a crisp, flavorful taste and the slow fermentation allows for a clean beer with a smooth finish balanced by just the right amount of German hops. 4.8% ABV, 25 IBUs
PAST SEASONALS HIDDEN RIVER Belgian-Style Witbier
Witbier or white beer gets its name from its light cloudy appearance. This Belgian style wheat beer is left unfiltered to retain the flavor of its integral ingredients. Though uncommon in other beer styles, the addition of coriander and orange peel is essential to create its subtle citrus flavor and refreshing, peppery finish. This ale is the perfect sipper for warm days and cool nights with your comrades. 4.8% ABV, 17 IBUs
YUNKERS’ NOCTURNUM Belgian Dark Strong Ale
A distinct fruit & spice character from our Belgian yeast strain combines with numerous dark specialty malts to create flavors of plum, raisin & fig. Both strong and malty, this mahogany colored ale could be the perfect elixir for a cold night. 9.8% ABV, 28 IBUs
BIERE DE MARS Farmhouse Style Ale
Brewed with a variety of malts and two unique strains of yeast, our Biere de Mars is one of our most ambitious brews to date. This complex ale is left unfiltered to contribute to it’s hazy orange appearance while retaining the flavor of toasted and caramel malts, orange peel, and turbinado sugar. Flavors of fruit and spice are provided by the yeast, but it’s a secondary wild yeast, brettanomyce bruxellensis, that creates the distinct farmhouse character. 7.3% ABV, 23 IBUs
THE HIVE Honey IPA
Like busy bees working hard to please their queen, this copper ale will take your palate for a spin. This brew is loaded up with our favorite American hops and complimented by a touch of raw honey procured from a local hive. Using a small amount of specialty malt and nearly every method of hopping possible, we present to you this delicious seasonal. 7.1% ABV, 70 IBUs
B.L. BARLEYWINE Strong Ale
This beer pushes the limits. Brewed from the recipe of a local homebrewer from the Barley Legal Homebrew Club, this exceptionally high-alcohol beer will keep you warm on a cold night. Extreme amounts of malt, sugar and hops were used to maintain a balance while contributing a complexity of interesting flavors and aromas. 10.5% ABV, 75 IBUsGRAND CRU Flanders Red Ale
Known as the Burgundies of Belgium, Flanders Red Ales are recognized by their slightly tart, wine-like flavor. The aroma is dominated by various dark fruits including sour cherry & plum while several strains of wild yeast create the distinct barnyard character. After aging on French oak, this unique ale picks up some tannins and flavors of tobacco, leather & spice making it even more reminiscent of a fine red wine. 7.0% ABV, 14 IBUs
FESTIVUS Ale Brewed with Spices
Every year we brew a single batch of this holiday warmer using an original recipe thus making each year unique. The rich plum & raisin flavor in this batch is certainly a feat of strength while the complex spice profile shouldn’t be included in anyone’s airing of grievances. Happy holidays from the entire brewing staff. 7.0% ABV, 22 IBUs
McYUNK'S SCOTTISH ALE Scottish 60 Shilling

Copious amounts of Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops provide an intense flavor, rivaling even the finest IPA's. Double dry-hopping in the fermenter imparts a bouquet of citrus and pine aromas, sure to please the most discriminating Hop Heads. 6.7% ABV, 69 IBUs
LOCK 70 Oatmeal Stout
Although we don't recommend waking up to a pint of oatmeal stout, this version contains a traditional breakfast ingredient. Flaked oats add a smooth, silky mouthfeel to this already full-bodied stout while the use of roasted barley and chocolate malts contribute to its black color and strong, roasty flavor. Even with its relatively modest alcohol content, this is one of the heartiest beers we brew.
5.6% ABV, 25 IBUs
MONK FROM THE ‘YUNK Belgian Style Tripel
This strong, golden colored ale is brewed with pilsner malt and noble hops, but it is the traditional Belgian strain of yeast that provides the complex aromas of fruit and spice. With a dry finish and relatively light body, you will find our Belgian Tripel very drinkable for the beer this potent.

A perfect companion for any of our desserts 5.5% ABV, 21 IBUs
HOP PHANATIC Imperial Red Ale
The recipe for this brew was based on the idea of an amber ale that has more hops and more malt. This complex sipper is heavily dosed with Cascade, Centennial and Columbus hops which deliver a solid, yet balanced, bitterness, and a sticky finish on the tongue, followed by a citrusy bouquet in the aroma. The various specialty malts provide a crimson color and a complex presence of mouthfeel to balance this hoppy ale. 8.2% ABV, 75 IBUs
BILL’S PILS German Pilsner
It’s no surprise that when the first golden lager was developed in the town of Pilsen it would become the most imitated style of beer in the world. Our version is reminiscent of those brewed in Northern Germany. It’s clean flavor and light body allows the drinker to focus on the delicate floral aroma of only the finest noble hops, while the dry finish will leave you reaching for another.
5.6% ABV, 40 IBUs
BLACK EYE PA India Black Ale
Like it's cousin, the IPA, the focus of this India black ale is on the flavor and aroma of hops. We use dehusked roasted malt to provide the signature black color without distracting from the complex hop profile created by generous use of Cascade, Centennial, and Columbus hops. The bitterness and aroma of the hops combined with the slight roasted flavor make this a great pairing with the Ancho Marinated Flat Iron Steak. 6.5% ABV, 65 IBUs
WEIZENBOCK Strong Wheat
Brewed with enough wheat and Munich malt to boost the alcohol to nearly double digits, the weizenbock is as strong as it gets for German wheat beers. With a sweet malt profile and a strong banana character from the traditional weizen yeast, this unfiltered copper colored ale is perfect as an after dinner drink alongside one of our desserts.
9.0% ABV, 21 IBUs
HEFEWEIZEN Bavarian Wheat
Brewed in true German tradition, our hefeweizen is made with a high percentage of malted wheat and fermented with a Bavarian weizen yeast. The yeast not only provides the distinct flavor of banana and clove, but also remains in suspension giving this unfiltered seasonal its cloudy appearance. Pairs well with some of our lighter fare such as the spinach salad. 5.3% ABV, 15 IBUs
SUMMER PARADISE Summer Ale
Brewed specifically for the hot summer months, this light bodied summer ale is as refreshing as it is flavorful. A light wheat flavor is enhanced by the addition of orange and lemon peels while the grains of paradise add an aroma of lavender and peppercorn. Try this with the Arugula Salad for a light summer treat. 5.0%ABV, 18 IBU's
YUNKELWEIZEN Dark Wheat
Considered a darker, more complex version of a hefeweizen, dunkelweizens benefit from the addition of high temperature kilned malt. With a bready and slightly roasted character, the specialty German malts are the perfect accent for the distinctive banana and clove flavor of the tradional Bavarian weizen yeast. This unfiltered dark wheat makes a great pairing with the grilled reuben sandwich.
5.9% ABV, 18 IBUS's
ALTercation Altbier
Despite being known for brewing lagers, Germany still brews a couple styles of ale. Altbier, a copper colored pale ale, is still brewed in the city of Dusseldorf and fermented with ale yeast at cooler temperatures. Our tribute to the old German brewery practices has a light fruit aroma that is not found in more recent styles. Using flavorful German malts and traditional noble hops, this balanced beer is sure to please a wide variety of palates. 5.2% ABV, 32 IBU's
KNUCKLEBUSTER Golden Ale
At last, the search for a light colored ale with a quality malt and hop profile is over. The name comes from the blood, sweat, and grit put into creating this sessionable treat. This batch was brewed with 2 very aromatic Pacific Northwestern hops- Nugget and Amarillo, which extrude a grapefruit and lemon bouquet. This ale is great for going a few rounds but not sacraficing flavor or character. Cheers
4.5%ABV, 30 IBU's
BREWERYTOWN BROWN American Brown Ale
Created by American homebrewers looking for more flavorful beer, the American brown ale style is intended to be a stronger, hoppier alternative to the classic English style. We use crystal and pale chocolate malts to provide a rich malt character which includes flavors of caramel, chocolate, and hazelnut while Simcoe and Cascade hops add aromas of pine and citrus. It's slightly roasted flavor and hop aroma make it a great pairing for the Ancho Marinated Flat Iron Steak. 5.9% ABV, 31 IBUs
BRIAN'S BOCK Traditional Bock
Besides being a beer style originating in Einbeck, Germany, Bock also happens to be the German word for goat. It seems appropriate that we name this dark and malty lager after Brian, the farmer who uses our spent grain as feed for his goats. With a garnet color and toasty and bready flavors from a large portion of Munich malt, Brian's Bock is great paired with the Parthenon Pizza or the Chicken Parmesan. 6.8% ABV, 22 IBUs
QUAKER CITY STOUT Oatmeal Stout

Despite sharing some of the same flavors of stronger Belgian style brews, this flavorful alternative should drink like a session ale. YUNKERS' GOLD Hoppy Session Ale
This hoppy, golden colored brew you are about to drink comes in the form of a session ale. It is born out of desire for a beer loaded with flavor that doesn't pack a huge punch. OLD EBENEZER English Barleywine
Back in merry old England, locals like Old Ebenezer (Scrooge after his enlightenment) celebrated special events by breaking out a brew called barleywine. The Brits crafted these ales from all their favorite English barley and hops in larger quantities to make stronger brews worthy of celebration. In this tradition we made our version with a nearly a ton of malt, English Phoenix and Kent Golding hops, and a British sense of celebration. Join us in a toast to good "Old Ebenezer". 9.0% ABV, 35 IBUs
